This Winchester manufactured late variation outside magazine tube is for the Third model 1890 slide action rimfire rifle in 22 S,L, & LR caliber and features the friction spring cut and the later style reinforced (bulbous) end. The overall condition is very good exhibiting a grayish brown patina with honest wear and traces of thinning original blue finish in protected areas. The loading port has been modified from its original cartridge shape to a semi-triangular shape which allows it to accept the gallery loading tube that Winchester sold as a separate accessory.  (file photos)
